Produced during the mid-19th century revival of the First Empire, this magnificent four-piece bedroom or salon set pays patriotic homage to the Bonaparte lineage.
The body features exquisite hand-gilded motifs, including the crowned imperial initial "N" nestled within a formal laurel wreath, flanked by intricately detailed Napoleonic honeybees, crossed bundles of wheat, arrows, and the classical French Imperial Eagle. The underside of the burner column features a fine, handwritten red script mark reading "M. Imp.le de Paris" (Manufacture Imperiale de Paris).
Crucially, this specimen retains its rare, original internal porcelain fluid lamp boat/cup. This piece has an attribution mark,
