The iconic lounge features a hand-wrought iron frame with a Neoclassical style geometric lattice inset seat and back. The lounge sits atop gracefully curved serpentine cabriole-form legs ending in small pad feet. The elegant back is topped by a gracefully curved scalloped crest, leading downwards towards open looped arms. The outer frame of the lounge is finished in the original "rusty painted" tactile reeded faux-bois finish, imitating tree bark. The finish has acquired a beautifully weathered and distressed patina in an oxidized umber brown tone. The dramatic design is crafted in the style of Mario Papperzini, and similar European Neoclassical garden furniture makers. The back adjusts with a sawtooth mechanism and swing-out arm having multiple reclined settings. The chair is suitable for a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces with a distinctive, well-heeled profile. The lounge measures 86.5" deep when fully extended and 78" while up. Arms measure 22.25" tall. Does not include seat cushions.
