These are original antique prints from the 1820s and have been newly framed.
ARTISTS:
Keisai Eisen (1790-4848) was a famous Edo era woodblock print artist known for pictures of beautiful women (Bijin-Ga). His best works are considered to be masterpieces of the "decadent" Bunsei Era (1818–1830). He was apprenticed to Kano Hakkeisai and also studied under Kikukawa Eizan. His initial works reflected the influence of his mentor, but he soon developed his own style.
