Prefabricated bathroom cabin designed by Charlotte Perriand for the Les Belles Challes residence in Les Arcs 1800, completed in 1975.
Composed of two molded polyester shells assembled in the workshop, this bathroom cabin integrates a bathtub, sink, toilet, lighting, and storage into a single, fully equipped unit. Delivered ready for installation by crane directly to the construction site, it exemplifies Charlotte Perriand's research on prefabrication applied to multi-family housing and the rationalization of construction in mountain environments.
Developed in collaboration with the company Résine Armée, this cabin is one of the most innovative projects undertaken for Les Arcs. Conceived as an architectural element, it contributes to the modernity of the Les Arcs 1800 development, where furniture, architecture, and equipment were designed as a coherent whole.
