An exceptional suite of 8 solid, massive and heavy high back chairs, Art Populaire, Modernist, Brutalist, Constructivist, solid wood structures with thick legs, superb mulching in the seats, very high and rigorous backs, by Charles Dudouyt, France 1950-1960.
These chairs with a monastic look are characterized by their front legs with "ovoid hooves", 2 balls that crown each back, and 2 popular reminiscences that decorate the front struts. This set allows to realize a large table. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
