Sourced from a historic estate, these substantial solid cast iron pieces feature highly detailed openwork backplates highlighted by a classical leaf-crowned Gothic Mascaron (Green Man) face medallion, flanked by scrolling finials and dual dimensional gargoyle or dragon-head accent projections at the midsection.

Both wall sconces retain their original semi-circular container brackets and come complete with their rare, matching heavy cast iron removable drip trays. Finding a complete matching pair with both frames and original lower water basins intact is an absolute rarity.

The cast iron surfaces exhibit a beautiful, authentic all-over natural weathered rust patina that highlights the deep sculptural castings and lends exceptional historic character.
