An exceptional, highly architectural pair of French Art Deco cache-pots designed by the master ceramicist and decorator Maurice Pinon for the renowned Jaget & Pinon factory in Tours, France.
Dating to the 1920s, these striking pieces feature the iconic glossy deep "Bleu de Tours" cobalt enamel glaze. The neoclassical, geometric forms are dramatically accented with heavy, hand-painted gold leaf gilding on the square medallion reliefs, sturdy geometric block handles, outer rims, and circular pedestal feet.
Each piece is prominently hand-signed in gold script "PINON_MAURICE" near the lower rim and features the official gold factory back stamp from the Tours manufacturing factory on the underside of the base.
This pair serves as a beautiful testament to the bold, symmetrical design ethos that defined the early French Art Deco movement. This piece has an attribution mark,

Very food structural condition with no major chips, cracks or repairs. General light age-appropriate surface wear and faint rubbing to the hand-painted gold leaf trim, contributing beautifully to their authentic character. less
