The piece features a stylized floral motif painted directly onto a coarse jute (burlap) backing. The clean contours of the blue flowers and green leaves are defined by thick, hand-stitched yarn, which creates a subtle three-dimensional effect. It is set in its original simple wooden frame.

The colors are well-preserved, showing clear shades of cobalt blue, indigo, and forest green against the natural brown tones of the jute.

During the 1970s, Lennart Olsson ran a workshop called Frivyboden in the province of Hälsingland. He became well-known across Sweden for this specific mixed-media technique, traveling between local furniture stores to sell his handcrafted wall hangings. Today, his work stands as a characteristic example of Swedish mid-century cozy folk art and rustic 70s home decor.
