A Corona lounge chair with matching ottoman, designed by Poul M. Volther and produced by Erik Jørgensen around 1900's. Four sculptural, egg-shaped cushions in original black leather float on a brushed steel frame. The stacked form follows the line of the body and gives the chair its unmistakable silhouette. The matching ottoman completes the lounge position.
It is one of the most daring and recognizable designs of Danish mid-century modernism and considered as one of the most comfortable armchairs in the world.
The armchair is in good condition. It was restored in 2000's (the numbers under the cushions show it). Now there are some scratches that you can check out on the last photos. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
