The projecting façade opens with four doors carved with allegorical scenes and five drawers carved with feline heads and heads of figures in the antique style. The sides are adorned with eight double engaged columns, giving an impression of architectural reinforcement. On either side, sea-green marble plaques are arranged, lending the whole a feeling of luxury and richness. The upper section is a true architectural masterpiece: surmounted by a sculpted Virgin and Child and supported by two ribboned eagles (one head missing). The sculpture of the Virgin is centered between two volutes positioned like monuments. The whole rests on three rectangular bases. The cubic feet are housed beneath an overhanging cornice. A high-quality piece in the spirit of the Fontainebleau school. Dimensions: h195 x 113 x 46 cm See less
