Imagine it catching the light on a table or sideboard, its two twisted necks splayed open like a gesture caught mid-motion — equal parts sculptural object and functional vessel.
A hand-blown clear glass piece with a bulbous body on a flared foot, from which two ribbed, spiral-twisted necks rise and diverge outward, each finished with a slightly flared, hand-tooled rim. The spiraled “wrythen” ribbing on the necks is a classic hand-glassblowing technique, achieved by twisting the glass while still hot on the blowpipe. A pontil mark is visible on the underside of the foot, confirming the hand-blown, free-formed process — along with small air bubble inclusions in the body, which are a natural hallmark of this technique rather than a flaw.
A note on the style: this type of twin-spouted glass vessel is known as an “ampolla gemina” — a traditional form combining two pours into a single blown body, historically used for oil and vinegar at the table.
Condition: good vintage condition. Typical small bubble inclusions and minor asymmetries consistent with hand-blown glass;
Please note: colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings. If you need to verify the exact shade, feel free to ask for additional photos in natural light before purchasing.
