we love its 280cm length, with multiple drawers opening from each side and a marble top.

this cabinet has paneled sides and rests on a wide plinth. The top is a very large ivory marble slab with pinkish hues, beautiful veining, and its original patina. It therefore shows some marks and imperfections in places, inherent to its age.
the cabinet has 18 very large, full-length drawers that open from either side.

the drawers have solid fronts on one side, topped with original floral cast iron shell handles.
on the other side, the drawers have glazed fronts, typical of seed merchants, topped with gray metal handles; three different handles are patinated.

this countertop would easily serve as a kitchen island, a shop counter, or a focal point in a large room.

it has been fully restored, sanded, treated, lightly stained, and protected with varnish.

the marble top has also been treated, preserving its patina.

as this piece is very old, it bears the marks of its previous lives: patina, minor imperfections in the wood (some repaired), and one drawer front has been filled with a graft. Please refer to the numerous photos for the overall condition.

this piece is obviously very heavy, given its dimensions, the number of drawers, and the presence of this very large, thick marble top.
