A simple piece of … Read more Large solid walnut linen cupboard, traditionally made in France around 1920, in the Louis Philippe style. A simple piece of furniture with straight, geometric curves. The side panels on the front are octagonal.

The cornice is straight, decorated with a lozenge in the center, and surmounted by two removable turned wooden finials.

The cupboard has two doors with a large drawer below.

Two large doors, beautifully crafted from a single piece of walnut. The right-hand door has a chiseled metal keyhole escutcheon, and its original lock and key are functional. The left-hand door is secured with an antique hook on the interior shelf.

Ample storage space. Three 30mm thick solid wood shelves. The central shelf contains two small storage drawers and a secret compartment behind the false central drawer.

A half-shelf in the cornice allows for use of the space above. Large storage drawer between the cabinet legs, made entirely of wood, walnut front with a decorative diamond pattern, two metal handles.

The shelves and drawer interiors are made of solid wood, sanded and protected with a natural, food-safe, colorless top-oil finish, suitable for storing linens or dishes.
The legs are capped with octagonal wooden pieces in the Louis Philippe style, continuing the design of the uprights.
This piece of furniture is sound, sturdy, stable, and ready to use.
The walnut has a lovely light and luminous color, with visible grain. The cabinet is easy to disassemble without tools, using Roman-head screws.

with finials on the cornice: 149 cm wide, 244 cm high, 60 cm deep.

Without finials: Height: 226 cm.

Shelves: 130 x 42 cm, 30 mm thick.
Half shelf: 130 x 20 cm, 16 mm thick.
Height between shelves (top to bottom): 15/39/37/38/36 cm.

Usable interior dimensions of the large drawer:
