This is … Read more Flowerpot vp1 pendant in orange enameled metal, designed by verner panton and manufactured by the danish louis poulsen. This is an older example from louis poulsen's production, not a newly manufactured lamp. A timeless danish design classic with soft shapes and a color that adds both warmth and personality.

flowerpot's characteristic silhouette is built up by two hemispheres facing each other. The larger shade arches over a smaller bowl that seems to float below it and at the same time hides the light source. The shiny enamel emphasizes the rounded shapes and gives the lamps a lively expression, just as nice together with teak and oak as in a brighter, more stripped-down environment.

the white inside of the large shade catches and reflects the light. The smaller bowl is also orange on the inside, which gives the reflected light a warm tone. Together, the shades create a soft and pleasant glow that makes the lamps particularly atmospheric when lit.

on the inside of the upper shade of one lamp, louis poulsen's older, round manufacturer's label remains. The other lamp has traces of the label. The preserved marking is a nice detail that ties the lamp to the manufacturer and is especially appreciated in older designer lighting.

with its neat proportions, the pendant fits nicely as a window lamp or above the kitchen table, coffee table, sideboard or a kitchen island. At the same height, it creates a calm and cohesive expression, while a placement at different heights highlights the playful shape. White cables and ceiling cups provide a light frame for the colorful shades.

the lamp has newly installed grounded electricity carried out by an electrician. Ceiling cup is included and can be dismantled if desired.
