The contrast between the pale frame and dark textured fabric gives the chair a graphic, understated presence.

The design combines slender legs with an angular, gently curved rail that forms both the arms and the low backrest. Open spaces beneath the rail emphasise the construction, while the padded seat softens the geometric outline. Its low back and compact proportions suggest it may originally have been intended as a dressing-table chair, making it ideal for a bedroom or dressing area.

The design recalls Tobia Scarpa’s Pigreco chair and Augusto Savini’s Pamplona chair, although the designer, manufacturer and production period of this particular piece remain unconfirmed.

Condition
The frame shows wear to the lacquer, including scratches and small areas of finish loss, particularly along the arms and edges, as shown in the photographs. The seat was reupholstered by the previous owner, and the upholstery is in excellent condition (it looks like the previous upholstery is still present underneath the new one).

Its compact proportions and distinctive open frame make it ideal for a bedroom, dressing area or as an occasional chair in a living room. See less
