Italian Space Age table lamp dating from the 1960s, constructed entirely from painted metal.
The design consists of an off-white cylindrical body enclosed by a deep blue domed outer shell. The blue shade rotates around the internal light source, allowing its large asymmetrical opening to progressively reveal or conceal the bulb and create different directional lighting effects.
A row of small perforations around the upper section creates additional points of light when illuminated. The circular base contains a cast iron disc that gives the compact lamp considerable stability.
Original cable and inline switch; the plug was most likely replaced. Fully functional.
Good vintage condition with small marks and superficial traces of age and use.
