Neo-Victorian style table lamp, inspired by antique oil lamps, dating from the 1960s-1970s. The reservoir is made of blown pink opaline glass, flattened into a spherical shape, mounted on a circular base of patinated brass with moldings. The brass upper section faithfully reproduces the elements of a period oil lamp: a burner with an openwork gallery featuring Gothic arch motifs, a cut-out crown, and two wick adjustment knobs on either side. The conical shade of pink silk fabric is adorned with a double gold border at the top and bottom.
The overall effect is a romantic and warm aesthetic, characteristic of French decorative arts of this period.
The lamp is wired and ready to use.
