Hansen designed this chest of drawers for dyrlund in the 1960s with a clear goal: ample storage without making the piece appear heavy. The sliding doors glide smoothly in teak runners, the frame is solidly constructed, and the grain is smooth and even. The floating base visually elevates the chest and was typical of danish furniture design of the period.

this dyrlund example shows normal signs of wear: light scratches on the surface, minimal pressure marks on the edges, but no damage to the wood or the mechanisms. The sliding doors run smoothly, and the surface has developed a warm patina. Inside, there are adjustable shelves that you can move as needed.

a second life for a danish design that has never gone out of style.
