The piece combines the tradition of Italian craftsmanship with mid-century modernism. Beneath the original glass top stands the distinctive lower lattice shelf (or treillage) made of carved wood. The structure is made of fine wood (usually walnut, beech, or cherry), and in this specific case, it is finished with black lacquer. The engraved glass is the central decorative element: the upper glass top features an elegant acid-etched design depicting a classical or allegorical figure (often floral motifs, mythological scenes, or pastoral scenes) typical of Buffa's eclectic and neoclassical style.
