Set of two hand-thrown studio ceramic vases by Rudi Stahl, Höhr-Grenzhausen, Germany, dating from the 1970s.
The larger vase has a bulbous body with a distinct neck, flared rim, and sturdy handle.
The multi-layered glaze in ochre and brown tones appears in ever-changing patches of color and flows generously towards the base.
The smaller vase, with a similar body and elegantly rising neck, is finished in dark brown tones and harmoniously complements the larger one.
Both vases show clear signs of the throwing process and are signed on the base with a number and the artist's name.
