An extraordinary pair of sculptural table lamps by Costantini Murano, entirely handcrafted in iridescent Murano glass in 1990. Each lamp is signed Costantini Murano on the base, confirming its artistic origin and craftsmanship.
The lamps feature imposing hand-blown glass bodies in delicate shades of amethyst and violet, enhanced by spectacular iridescent reflections that reveal subtle hues of blue, pink, green, and gold depending on the angle and intensity of the light.
Their surfaces display an elaborate composition of glass threads and ribbons applied while molten, intertwining to create a striking three-dimensional, almost naturalistic structure. An intricate, irregular network of dark glass with mesmerizing metallic iridescence envelops each lamp like an organic framework, creating a fascinating contrast with the transparency and luminosity of the underlying glass.
The bases, also entirely handcrafted in glass, feature a succession of concentric glass coils, providing visual solidity and sculptural continuity to the overall composition.
