Elevate your vanity, desk, or dresser with this rare and highly collectible Danish Modern rosewood decorative box, designed and produced by renowned silversmith Hans Hansen in Kolding, Denmark during the 1960s.
Expertly handcrafted from premium Brazilian rosewood (Palisander), the box boasts a highly figured, dramatic dark grain pattern. The top of the lid is striking, inlaid with twelve solid sterling silver geometric squares set at a diamond orientation to create a mesmerizing modernist pattern. This versatile piece features a minimalist silver thumb-tab lift and opening to reveal a partitioned interior, making it ideal for storing jewelry, cufflinks, business cards, or fine cigars.
A pristine representation of mid-century Scandinavian craftsmanship, this beautiful chest typically bears the authentic "Hans Hansen / Denmark" maker's stamp on the underside. It serves as a exceptional statement accessory for collectors of fine Danish design and 20th-century silver.
