This striking late 19 century antique Dutch Cagen bottle circa 1875 to 1885 features a Unique family history. Passed down through a prominent, wealthy family, it was gifted as a wedding present to the previous owner’s grandmother by an equivalent relative who was a dedicated antique glass collector.
Blown into a multi part iron mold in the Netherlands, this bottle features the classic four sided taper body designed for tight packing and shipping crates. The glass has a deep olive hue that shifts indirect light. The exterior shows authentic historical glass, marker marks, including faint, wavy, squiggly lines cooling ridges, running down the sides. The smooth base features, a crisp, beautifully embossed factory, mold, registry H.
At 7.75 inches tall, this smaller, diminutive sized case bottle boast, a much rare and more desirable profile than standard large variance, making it a perfect sculptural piece for bar carts, mental shelves, or open displays.

The glass retains its original glossy clarity, complete with organic micro seed bubbles and authentic surface widow marks. Please note: there is a tiny, faint line on the top lip of the rim. It appears to be an original, stable manufacturing, Towing Mark. A sheer line from when the lip was hand applied rather than a post production crack, but it is now noted for absolute transparency- pun intended. less
