Standing at 13 inches tall and weighing a hefty 8.2 lbs, this large-scale vessel is a magnificent example of Cloisonné enamel and gilt bronze craftsmanship.

The pot features a cylindrical body with a slightly flared, fluted base. It is richly decorated with vibrant turquoise-blue Cloisonné enamel, featuring intricate, multi-colored lotus motifs and traditional Himalayan auspicious symbols. The heavy gilt-bronze spout is cast in the shape of a mythical beast's head, while the ornate handle is modeled as a scaled dragon. The domed lid is topped with a complex, sculptural finial.

Traditionally used for serving butter tea in Tibetan monasteries, this ewer carries a deep sense of ritual and Himalayan mysticism. Its heavy weight, complex enamelwork, and striking shape make it a true statement piece for collectors of Asian art, or as a dramatic, exotic accent in a curated interior. See less
