Antique and vintage pieces naturally reflect their age and history through normal signs of wear and use. These may include variations in the finish, light scratches, nicks, dings, and other character marks acquired over time. When we describe an item as being in “good condition,” this assessment is made relative to the piece’s age and intended use. Age-appropriate wear should be expected, including minor surface imperfections, nicks or dings to furniture, and natural separation at wood joints caused by expansion and contraction over time. These characteristics are considered part of the charm, authenticity, and unique history of antique and vintage furnishings. Thanks for looking and please feel free to reach out with any questions.
