Iconic Model AT 304 "Sabre Leg" expandable drop leaf dining table by Hans Wegner in expertly restored condition, made in Denmark by Andreas Tuck c. late 1950s.
The Sabre Leg table integrates polished brass with earthy teak and golden oak, producing an aesthetic that is at once organic and timelessly modern. The expansion mechanism is both simple and elegant – the leaf locks into place when it is oriented parallel to the main dining surface and can be stowed again by lifting slightly upward.
This particular example has been expertly restored and shows like-new despite nearly seven decades of prior use. It came to us free from defects requiring significant touchups. The extension mechanisms function smoothly and the legs fit snugly with the tabletop, providing a stable dining surface at both the collapsed and expanded sizes.
The table retains its original stamp, branded into the underside of the top.
