This bulbous, hand-thrown stoneware vessel features an unglazed earthen body with beautiful time-worn markings, mineral deposits, and age spots, contrasted by a rich, drippy olive and amber glaze around the thick rolled rim and dark glazed interior. Subtle incised ring details encircle the shoulder, hallmarks of traditional utilitarian pottery.
Originally used as a confit pot, olive jar, or water vessel, it is now perfect as a monumental decorative object. Its raw, earthy texture embodies true Wabi-Sabi and is ideal for Organic Modern, Mediterranean, Tuscan, or Primitive interiors.
A fantastic oversized floor vessel for an entry, hearth, or corner. Style alone for sculptural impact, or with tall dried branches, pampas, or olive stems.
