Now converted into a table lamp and wired for use in the United States, the piece retains all the grandeur of its original neoclassical form while offering practical functionality for contemporary interiors.

The fluted shaft rises from a square plinth, which is richly detailed with gilt bronze acanthus leaves, palmettes, and classical scrollwork—motifs typical of the Empire and early Louis-Philippe periods. The contrast between the dark patina of the bronze and the bright gilded accents lends the lamp a dignified presence and depth of character.

Elegant in proportion and commanding in style, this lamp brings architectural structure and historical depth to any room. It would suit both traditional and transitional interiors, whether placed on a side table, desk, or console. Pair it with a tailored shade to highlight its classical form without competing with its detailed base. See less
