Striking Chinese blue and white lidded ginger jar, hand decorated with a mythical qilin beast amid lush peony floral scrollwork. Qilin is a revered traditional symbol of good fortune, prosperity and protection.
Crafted in the classic general’s helmet form with a fitted domed lid topped by a deep blue teardrop finial. Rich cobalt blue patterns stand out beautifully against the creamy glazed body.
