A dark warm wood French Provincial style buffet sideboard with exceptional carved door detail. Despite its modest footprint — just under 35 inches wide — this piece makes a strong visual statement, with two door panels featuring deeply carved acanthus and fleur-de-lis scrollwork cartouches at the top and bottom of each panel, paired with long, ornate cast brass acanthus door pulls.
The upper section houses a single wide drawer with a divided silverware interior — four compartments — fitted with sunburst/rosette cast knobs. Below, the two-door cabinet opens to a single interior shelf, offering practical storage for serving pieces, linens, or bar items. The scalloped apron and cabriole legs with scroll feet complete the classic French Provincial silhouette. Hardwood construction throughout.

The top surface has a slightly dull finish with edge wear along the front and sides — normal for a piece of this era and likely to respond to furniture polish or a light refinish. The right door operates normally, though the magnetic catch may benefit from replacement (an inexpensive and simple repair). Minor surface marks on the right side panel and a section of finish lift on the front lower base rail edge (approximately 3–4 inches) where the finish has partially separated and exposes the wood beneath (see photos). Structurally solid throughout — no warping, loose joints, or water damage. Always available to answer any questions or send additional photos. less
