One side held letter openers, a few paperclips, golf tees and a pencil or two. The other side was for mail. Mom left envelops to be mailed and Dad left the mail from the mailbox. Since it wasn't used for anything else, there are no stains, cracks, or nicks. Now I have a house with a mailbox right next to the front door, so I don't need the tray. Use as an accent or to hold whatever small objects you choose. Goes well with nearly any decor and simply needs an occasional polish to stay pristine. See less
