An exceptionally rare and complete set of six matching American Art Deco dining chairs, circa 1930s.
Finding an intact, un-fragmented set of six pre-war chairs in this condition is an absolute premium for period collectors.
The set is perfectly configured with one commanding Captain's armchair featuring elegant turned wood arm supports, paired with five matching side chairs.
Each chair features a bold, vertical splat back showcasing a highly dynamic chevron (V-shaped) book-matched walnut veneer.
Fine geometric line inlays frame the backrests, echoing the distinct machine-age craftsmanship of the era. The front straight legs feature the signature dark-capped base bands that tie the entire design suite together.
