The massive table features a significant rectangular plank top measuring 2.25" thick made up of rustic oak timber planks cut with hand-eased edges. The large top rests on a pair of boldly sculpted lyre-form trestle supports, each resting on scalloped sled feet with shaped cutouts on the bottom. The graceful legs are connected by a large oak stretcher through each upright with exposed tenon joinery. The oak is finished with a rich honeyed amber patina showcasing the woodgrain patterns, knots, and figuring. The visible joinery, distressed surface, wormhole pitting, and rustic construction all contribute to the French Country character of the table. The table has a distinct profile crafted in a rustic Country Farmhouse French Provincial style with "Euro-skinny" dimensions, well-suited for a variety of spaces. The table has ample leg clearance measuring 27.25 from floor to the apron. The table is heavy and solid having strong joinery and construction. The massive top is fairly flat given the scale and age with very minor warp and shrinkage.
