The figure is seated in the full lotus position (padmasana) upon a double-lotus base. The body is richly enameled in a deep, glossy cobalt blue, accented with gilded details and colorful inlays of red, green, and turquoise.

Manjushri is depicted with his right hand raised high, wielding a flaming sword that symbolizes the cutting of ignorance and delusion. The left hand is held in front of the chest in a teaching mudra (vitarka mudra), while gracefully holding the stem of a lotus flower that blossoms at shoulder level, supporting the Prajnaparamita sutra. The figure wears an elaborate, jeweled crown, large circular earrings, and layered beaded necklaces. The face is finished in bright gold, displaying a serene and meditative expression with downcast eyes and a gentle smile. The flowing ribbons and celestial scarves are outlined in gold, adding a dynamic sense of movement.
