This beautifully crafted piece is a classic example of a traditional Chinese seal (chop). It features a square base topped with a meticulously carved mythical beast—likely a guardian lion or Pixiu—in a seated, alert posture. The creature is detailed with swirling fur, expressive features, and powerful paws, symbolizing protection and good fortune.
The stone has a rich, warm brown tone with a naturally polished, slightly grainy texture that gives it a substantial, vintage feel. This seal is not only a functional tool for stamping but also serves as a stunning decorative sculpture. It is the perfect size for a paperweight, a desk accessory, or a unique addition to a curio cabinet.
