This is a matching pair of cast bronze lidded vessels, featuring a rounded, bulbous body and a domed cover with a central finial. The exterior of both jars is decorated with a band of raised, archaic-style scrollwork and swirling motifs around the shoulder and the lid. Two small, stylized loop handles are attached to the sides of each vessel. The interiors of the lids show a distinct diamond-grid pattern. The bronze exhibits a deep, aged patina with areas of green oxidation and reddish-brown rust, giving the pieces a strong antique character.
