A traditional Judaica Mizrach silver plaque. The word Mizrach translates from Hebrew as east. This decorative element is hung on the eastern wall of a home or synagogue. It serves as a visual landmark indicating the direction of Jerusalem, which is traditionally the direction one faces during prayer. The word Mizrach is engraved in the center of the plaque. Above the inscription is a semicircular rising sun with rays. This is a reference to Psalm 112:3. The letters are framed by floral ornamentation on the sides. Judaica Plates and Plaques, Religious Wares, and Collectibles. Weight: 150 g.
