Each features a circular turquoise blue center surrounded by a broad, richly patterned border, combining pictorial decoration with intricate ornamental wirework.

One plate depicts two birds flying above the snow covered summit of Mount Fuji, with flowering plants and slender branches in the foreground. The white mountain contrasts beautifully with the vivid blue sky, creating a clear focal point within the elaborate surrounding decoration.

The companion plate presents an arrangement of flowering stems, including white peonies, a pink chrysanthemum and an orange lily. Carefully outlined petals and varied green foliage bring detail and movement to the composition.

The borders incorporate irregular panels of floral ornament, scrolling foliage and geometric motifs in shades of coral, olive green, dark blue, black and cream. Their dense decoration frames the more open central scenes, giving the plates a pleasing balance of color and pattern. The reverse sides are described as decorated with foliate scrollwork. Both plates are unmarked.
