The composition features a charming garden filled with vibrant pink, lavender, yellow, and blue blossoms, with figures leisurely enjoying the peaceful surroundings. A woman holding a parasol provides an elegant focal point, while a young child nestled among the flowers adds warmth and intimacy to the scene.

Rice’s expressive brushwork, soft atmospheric lighting, and harmonious palette evoke the romantic beauty of late 19th-century French Impressionism, particularly the garden paintings of Claude Monet.

The painting is presented in an elaborate gilt-style frame with richly decorated corners and classical detailing, beautifully complementing the composition.
