This striking vintage cloisonne enamel figure depicts a Qilin, a mythical hooved creature from traditional folklore, revered as a symbol of protection, prosperity, and good fortune. The beast is captured in a dynamic, striding pose with its head raised and mouth open. Its body is richly decorated with intricate wirework separating vibrant enamel cells on a deep red ground, featuring a dense pattern of scrolling floral motifs in shades of green, yellow, blue, and white. The head, legs, paws, and tail are finished in polished, dark bronze with gilt accents, contrasting beautifully with the colorful enamel body. This figure makes a distinguished addition to a collection of cloisonne or Asian decorative arts.
