Conceived by Ewart Myer for the manufacturer Horatio Myer & Co. in the 1960s, the piece is named "Ski" for the upward curve at one end of the top, achieved using a steam-bent teak plywood technique.

Its sculptural and ingenious design incorporates an oval-shaped slot at the opposite end for magazines or newspapers, allowing them to slide down to the shelf below. The structure rests on four stylized, tapered legs in solid wood, which lend it a sense of visual lightness. A cult design piece with a strong personality, it is perfect for contemporary living rooms, reading nooks, or spaces with an organic-Scandinavian inspiration.
