This striking pair of vintage cloisonne enamel figurines features two woodpeckers perched upon sculpted tree trunk bases. Each bird is finely crafted with intricate wirework separating vibrant enamel cells. Their heads and bodies are decorated with a yellow ground and colorful floral scroll motifs, while their folded wings display detailed blue and green scale patterns. The birds have bright red crests, expressive eyes, and long gilt beaks. The bases are modeled to resemble gnarled wooden stumps. The undersides bear impressed seal marks containing the characters "乾隆年製" (Made in the Qianlong Period). In traditional culture, these birds are symbols of diligence and good fortune. This pair makes a delightful addition to a collection of cloisonne or Asian decorative arts.
