This striking vintage ceramic figure depicts a peacock with its tail feathers fully displayed in a fan, a traditional symbol of beauty, dignity, and good fortune. The bird is finely modeled standing upon a sculpted rocky base adorned with rose blossoms, featuring a rich sancai-style glaze with vibrant green, amber, and cream tones. The tail feathers are detailed with incised patterns and distinctive "eye" spots in amber and brown. The glaze exhibits a natural crackle and patina, giving it a distinguished, antique character. This piece makes a bold statement on a shelf, console, or as part of a collection of Asian ceramics.
