A striking original portrait of a woman in a red hat, painted on canvas in a moody modernist palette of olive, ochre, black, and muted red.

The elongated features, large expressive eyes, and loosely finished lower portion give the piece a distinctive mid-century feel.

Presented in its existing decorative frame. Artist is currently unidentified.

A one-of-a-kind piece with character, age, and an unusually compelling presence.
