This charming pair of bronze statues depicts Qilin, mythical hooved creatures from traditional folklore, in a seated, upright posture. Each figure is finely cast with detailed manes, expressive faces, and bodies adorned with decorative saddles and trappings. They rest upon integral octagonal bases decorated with raised relief patterns, including trigram motifs associated with the Bagua. The bronze exhibits a rich, dark patina with lighter wear on the raised details, giving them a distinguished, antique character. These figures serve as powerful symbols of protection, prosperity, and good fortune, making them a meaningful addition to any collection or altar display.
