This detailed bronze sculpture depicts a majestic male lion captured in a dynamic, striding pose. The lion is finely modeled with a full, flowing mane, a muscular body, and an alert expression. The bronze exhibits a rich, weathered patina with a striking verdigris finish—the green oxidation patina—covering much of its surface, giving it an ancient, excavated appearance. Its compact size and solid weight make it an excellent decorative accent for a desk, shelf, or curio cabinet, or a distinguished addition to a collection of animal figures and Asian metalware.
