A spectacular oversized vintage brass gallery tray, measuring approximately 48 inches long by 24 inches wide. This substantial statement piece is exceptionally detailed, featuring an elaborate hand-tooled floral and botanical design across the entire tray surface.
The richly decorated field incorporates layers of floral rosettes, sunburst medallions, scrolling foliage, geometric accents, and finely chased linear details, creating an almost tapestry-like effect in brass. The tray is surrounded by an unusual raised gallery with slender turned, bamboo-like supports and a sculptural rounded rail, complemented by substantial decorative handles at either end.
The naturally aged surface displays a beautiful range of warm antique-gold, bronze, and darker brown tones, with the patina and surface variations enhancing the depth of the tooling.
At nearly four feet in length, this is an impressive decorative object with considerable presence. It would make an exceptional centerpiece on a large coffee table, ottoman, console, sideboard, or kitchen island, or could simply be displayed as a statement piece in a collected interior.
