Crafted from a heavy copper body, the piece is shaped as a large, plump watermelon with a naturally curled, dark metal stem. The surface is decorated with a vibrant enamel design mimicking the fruit's rind: a bright yellow-green ground with dark green, lobed stripes. Notably, the yellow-green areas are further patterned with fine, wavy wire lines, adding intricate detail and texture to the design. The base features a small circular opening, consistent with the cloisonné manufacturing process.
