The box features a flattened, circular form with a fitted lid. Crafted from a copper body using the "silver-blue" technique—where a thick layer of silver is applied beneath the enamel to create a uniquely luminous, jade-like depth—the lid is decorated with a striking design of the Sanskrit "Six-Character Mantra" (Om Mani Padme Hum). Each of the six characters is rendered in a different enamel color (green, red, gold, blue) within a lotus-petal medallion, all set against a pale blue ground. A central roundel contains a golden, stylized endless knot or floral motif, surrounded by a deep red border. The side of the box is decorated with a scrolling green and gold floral vine band on a pale blue ground. The interior of the box and the underside of the lid are glazed in a bright, solid turquoise blue. The rims are finished with polished gold gilding. The box comes with its original patterned paper presentation box. A highly decorative and spiritual collectible piece.
