Soft shades of sea-glass green, pale blue, cream, and ochre are punctuated by the rich blue hulls of the boats.

Broad, textured passages of paint give the surface depth, while fine dark lines define the architecture and rigging. The loosely rendered buildings and broken reflections lend the scene a modern, impressionistic quality.

Presented in a light wood frame with a linen liner that complements the painting’s understated palette. Signed at the lower right; artist unidentified. Believed to date to the second half of the 20th century. See less
